Glen Echo Ravine

The Glen Echo Ravine is located in South Clintonville in Columbus, Ohio. Due to heavy foot traffic, the

section of the ravine that holds the most trash is the part located in Glen Echo Park.

Most of the trash that we found was from food and drink. This could have resulted from people leaving trash directly in the ravine.

However, it was obvious that some of the trash found in the ravine washed there through the storm drains on the streets above, like the pictured bag of road salt. As the trash moved downstream with the current of the stream, it tended to collect at logs laying across the surface of the water.

The Glen Echo Ravine does not have a road running through it like the Walhalla Ravine does. Instead, there are storm drains on the roads above the ravine. There were already some markers on the drains on the streets, showing that other people care about the well-being of the area as well.
